NIKI Shares go to Etihad Airways. What next?

,

“Yes, we’re flying!” is the message from the current joint (for the time being) advertising campaign by Air Berlin & NIKI – but they are set to go their separate ways. Who is going to fly where?

Air Berlin will serve as a network carrier within Germany, flying to the big cities of Europe and long-haul destinations in the USA, the Caribbean and the Middle East. Palma de Mallorca will be left to NIKI. NIKI, meanwhile, will become part of a new European airline group with TUIfly & its new owner Etihad Airways and will take passengers to popular tourist destinations in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Morocco and Egypt. The joint venture between NIKI & TUIfly has not yet been finalized – so we will be in suspense for a little longer.
