Qatar Airways extends route network

Qatar Airways plans to fly to 14 new destinations across 4 continents this year. This includes the world’s longest flight, between Doha and Auckland in New Zealand. Daily flight operations to Auckland are scheduled to begin December 3rd with a Boeing 777. Qatar Airways is aiming at a total of six new destinations in Africa alone. In July 2016, three flights should be operated per week to Marrakesh on a Boeing 787 “Dreamliner”. Outbound flights will include a layover in Casablanca, inbound flights will be nonstop. Other African destinations are Windhoek in Namibia, Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon and Lusaka in Zambia.
