The New Queen’s Terminal in London Heathrow

After around 4 years of construction, Terminal 2, named after Queen Elisabeth II, at the London Heathrow Airport was opened. The new building is exclusively used by the 23 Star Alliance airlines, including Austrian, who will be relocating until November 2014. In addition to a modern design, passengers will benefit from orientation help with four core areas (A, B, C, D) as well as the availability of numerous Self- Check-In counters and a total of 24 security check points. Special business travellers benefit from a shorter minimum connecting time of 60 minutes compared to 120 minutes in the old building.
