Austrian Airlines ramping up long-haul frequencies
Austrian Airlines will particularly ramp up America-bound flights starting with its summer flight schedule: for the Chicago and Toronto destinations, the schedule will be changed to offer daily flights, and the daily connections to Washington will be served with bigger aircrafts. Newark, New Jersey, will be operated 5 times a week as of July. The presumably significantly shorter waiting time upon entry into the U.S. and Canada as well as excellent connecting flights and swift transfer to Manhattan will prompt many passengers to prefer Newark over New York JFK.
